Sub / User Groups

PHP Membership Manager gives you the option to create sub/user groups which you can then assign to registered users.

Sub/user groups allow you to setup protection on areas of your web site that you can require the user be a member of to gain access.

Example URL: http://www.website.com/members/
Example URL: http://www.website.com/members/premium/

The  /premium/  folder you could require that the user belong to a sub/user group to gain access, while  /members/  allows any valid user in.

You can obtain this protection method from the menu bar option [Protect Site]


Creation Date: Date the user group was created by the administrator
 
Hidden Group: If checked the group will be hidden and not shown in the control panel view account area.
 
Sub User/Group Name: Name of the sub/user group. Displayed within administration area and control panel.
 
Description: Description of the user/sub group. Displayed in user control panel --> account details.
 


 
Group Expiration Time (In Days): Set the number of days after registration you would like the user to be removed from the sub/user group.


Enable Group e-Mail: Select this option if you want to enable an e-mail for this sub/user group. If selected the remaining e-mail fields must be configured.
 
Administrator e-Mail: From e-Mail address used in sub/user group e-mail.
 
e-Mail Subject: Subject of the sub/user group e-mail.
 
Enable HTML e-Mail: Normally should be selected unless you have turned off the WYSIWYG editor in the setup options.
 
Variable Place Holders: The variable place holder dropdown includes %variable% references you may use within the e-mail to personalize the message.
