To protect folders on your website using basic .htaccess pop-up window authentication login to the PHP Membership Manager administration area. Click on the [Protect Site] menu option. Choose [More Protection Options]. You will be provided code that you can copy & paste into a file named ".htaccess". Upload this file to the folder you wish to protect. When you access the folder you be prompted to enter a username / password to gain access to the folder and its documents. Example Below:
