- Self Installer .exe (Recommended)

The best way to install the PHP Membership Manager package is by using the windows based self installer .exe file available after ordering.

The self installer application is a windows executable script that resembles an FTP program. It will walk you through the installation process. The installer will load the files on your web server, set all the needed file permissions for you and even load the ioncube loader files if your server does not support them by default.

Below are screen shots of how this process works:

Once you have downloaded the self installer .exe file from your client area double click on it to start the PHP Membership Manager self installer.

You have now started the self installer process. Choose
Fresh Install and click [Next]

The License Agreement is shown. Click on [Next] to continue with installation.

Choose install to remote machine, which is your web site.

You now enter your web sites FTP details for the self installer to login to your site.

NOTE: You can click the [Change] button to make the default installation folder a folder name of your choice.

NOTE: You should also click the [Browse] button to pull up your site and its file listing / structure. At times the initial folder selected will be the folder you site resides in. On some FTP accounts you may need to select the /www/ folder or the /htdocs/ folder.

Once you have chosen the installation folder & selected the web folder to install in click [Next]

If the previous steps were correct and the FTP connection was made you can enter the full http:// URL to the web folder the program is to be installed into.

NOTE: Normally this is auto-filled in based on the FTP address you entered in the previous steps. If not simply enter the URL to the folder you chose to install the software into.

This http:// URL does not include the installation folder name

A display of all the settings entered previously are available for review.

To continue click [Install] to start the installation of the software on to your web site.

The loading of the files should now be in progress. Once completed you will see the option to edit the configuration file to enter your MySQL settings and your software license number.

Once the files have been loaded onto your web server you will be prompted to edit the software configuration file.

This is where you will enter your license #, MySQL server address, database name, username & password

The text editor / screen you are presented with allows you to enter your license # provided after purchasing. You also need to enter the MySQL database information.

(1) License #
(2) MySQL Server address
